ronnycakes reviews: Plan B (Part 2), Bangsar Village I

For my 21st birthday luncheon, Clarissane and a group of friends brought me to Plan B for comfort food and mass-loads of desserts, because there is nothing that makes me happier than good food, good company and of course good dessert. x)

In our first trip to Plan B, all we had were desserts so this time we sampled two pastas and had a different range of desserts from the previous visit.

P1050722
Spicy Crabmeat Pasta (RM22) consists of linguine tossed with crabmeat, cherry tomatoes, kaffir lime leaves and copious amounts of olive oil with a dash of prawn oil.
Personally speaking I really liked this dish because I’m a diehard fan of seafood and the kaffir leaves added a unique fragrance to the whole thing. On the other hand, Wils hated it and refused to have any after one bite. :(

P1050725
I didn’t try any of the Linguini Siciliana (RM19) but I do know ingredients included: broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and copious amounts of olive oil as per usual in pastas. Not very sure how it tastes like but it certainly looks light and healthy. :)

P1050717
For dessert we had the Rocky Road Bar (RM5) which was horrifyingly hard like a slab of granite and incredibly chewy as well. Not the best of the day.

P1050720
The Lemon Tart (RM10) was deliciously fluffy and very light as well so none of that sated feeling that you get with certain desserts. It was also not overly sweet, with a tangy taste of lemons.

P1050729
The Banana Loaf (RM9) was moist and soft but other than that, pretty run-of-the-mill and nothing much to shout about.

P1050736
Plan B’s Strawberry Cheesecake (RM9) is definitely a looker with a cute-as-a-button strawberry adorning the cake, but taste-wise, the others mentioned that it was just average.

The variety of food on the menu is so extensive that I find myself wanting to visit Plan B a few more times just to try out the sandwiches, burgers, salads or other mains. The breakfast platter at Plan B is pretty good as well (surely rivals the one we tried at Tom, Dick and Harry) but on our latest visit we didn’t bring a camera so no picture of that for you to salivate on… :(
