As an avid fan of fish head noodles, I’m always on the lookout for a good, delicious bowl of this simple hawker dish! The one hear definitely tickles my fancy :)
There’s a choice of with or without evaporated milk. The one here is the former.. both of it tastes just as good! I usually have the one with the evaporated milk but I do, sometimes want a change.
One portion comes with four pieces of fish.. two full fleshed, two slightly boney with generous amounts of garnishing i.e. spring onions, fried onions, tomatoes and pickled vegetables.
The one above is with evaporated milk all mixed up, ready to be eaten!
There is also a choice of additions like prawns or substituting the fish meat with fish paste. I’ve yet to try those..but some tables do take them as another option.
At RM 6.50 (small) a pop, it’s quite value for money. The dish also comes with their special sambal chilli which goes perfectly well with the fried fish. Yums!
Finish off the meal with a nice, warm cup of Fu Chuk Yee Mai (Barley with Gingko and Soy Strip), RM 2. I absolutely love the one served here. Albeit a bit pricey for a cup of barley, its very well worth the taste! ;)
Perfect comfort food, especially on a cold, rainy day. Do give it a try, definitely worth a trip!
